        What we are working on:

Writer's Workshop- We have focused on writing Essays. Our writers have been learning about the craft of essays and how to create a plan, write a rough draft and revise and edit their own writing.

        Reading- Genre focus: Expository Text
We have been working on monitoring our comprehension and tracking our thinking as we read. We have worked on visualizing about the text and making connections as we read. We will also be focusing on the genre of Expository/Procedural text this week. We will learn about the types of procedural texts.

Social Studies- We just finished up our unit on the Civil War and will begin our unit Cowboy Culture.
